Rene Lamontagne Obituary

HOLYOKE: Rene D. Lamontagne, age 96 of Holyoke, died on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home. He was born in Goffstown, New Hampshire and lived in Chicopee and Holyoke for many years. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. Rene was a retired machinist, having worked at Fiske in Chicopee and Experimental & Tool Company in East Springfield. He was the widower of Rita G. (Verdon) Lamontagne who died in 1967. Rene is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Bayeur of Holyoke; two brothers, Albert and Roger Lamontagne; and several nieces and nephews including Paul Lamontagne. Rene was predeceased by a son, Ronald Lamontagne and a sister, Jeannette LeBlanc. All services for Rene were private. Burial was held at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee.
