SOUTH HADLEY
Robert P. Fournier, age 65, of South Hadley, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Roger and Jeannette (Michon) Fournier and was educated in the local schools. Bob was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1972 to 1978. He worked as a forger at Northeast Tool Company, as a driver for DM Towing Company, and a foreman for Commercial Disposal Recycling. Bob was a member of Knights of Columbus Fairview Council 4044. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Mihalak) Fournier; a son Roger Fournier and wife Kelly of South Hadley; three daughters: Cynthia Kaskey and husband Gary of Northampton, Darlene Forget and husband Bill of South Hadley, and Sheila Gregoire and husband Joe of Northampton. He was Pepe to 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, all of whom he adored; a brother Donald Fournier and wife Rita of Northampton; two sisters, Gloria Fournier of Northampton and Ann Egan and husband Bob of Springfield, as well as many nieces and nephews. Committal with Military Honors will be held Tuesday, July 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be held Monday, July 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
