SOUTH HADLEY: Robert Paul LeCours (age 81) passed away on April 26, 2018. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his devoted wife of 57 years and his loving children. Robert was born in Agawam to the late Paul N. and Imelda (LaBranch) LeCours. He attended school in South Hadley before establishing his trucking company in partnership with his father, P. LeCours and Son Trucking. Before retiring he worked for the Citgo Corporation. Although Robert loved trucks, his one true passion was his family. Combining his love of history and his family, he dedicated his free time to traveling with his wife and children. As grandchildren came into his life, his free time was spent caring and loving them. He passed on his sense of humor, strong work ethic and dedication of family to not only his children but more importantly his grandchildren, who loved and adored him. He is survived by his wife Natalie A. (Coelho) and his four children, Robert M. of Lecanto Florida, David J. of Longmeadow, Elizabeth A. and her spouse Robert Nowicki of Longmeadow, Michael J. and his spouse Erica of Springfield. He was an amazing and dedicated grandfather to Robert “Robbie” Nowicki of Longmeadow, Lauren LeCours of Longmeadow, Collin and Alyssa Stearns of Springfield, Courtney LeCours of Manchester, New Hampshire and Nicole LeCours of Weeki Wachi, Florida. He also leaves behind his loving niece Nancy Perry and a very dear friend Richard Salois of Belchertown; his brother Joseph N. and his life partner Beverly of South Hadley, his nephew Joseph, niece Darlene and brother Paul E. of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The family would also like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in St. Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main Street, Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760.
