Robert John Nihill

HOLYOKE

Robert John "Guard" Nihill, age 69, died Sunday October 7, 2018 at Willimansett Center East in Chicopee after a brief illness. Bob was born in Springfield, son of the late Leonard J. and Helen T. (Mulvaney) Nihill. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob was a dispatcher for Roy’s Towing in Springfield as well as a local music D.J. and CBer who’s handle was “Guard.” He is survived by his wife, Linda M. (Griffith) Nihill; a daughter, Maryann Nihill; and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Nihill in 2007. Family and friends are invited to meet on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke to follow in procession to the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam where Burial with Military Honors will take place at 2:00 p.m.
