Robert J. Nitcavic, Jr.

Robert J. Nitcavic Jr. age 62, of Chicopee, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at his home. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Robert J. and Mary Christine (O’Connor) Nitcavic, graduated from Holyoke High School, and attended Holyoke Community College. Bob worked at an area car wash, was a member of Odyssey House in Holyoke, and attended Hawthorn Adult Day Health in Chicopee.  He enjoyed eating out, especially at Nick’s Nest and Schermerhorns in Holyoke. Bob touched many hearts, and was a trooper to the very end. He fought a good fight, and the battle has been won! Bob did it his way! CHD was Bob’s extended family, along with his friend of more than 30 years, Robin Pulliam, and two special friends who were dear to his heart, Janyce and Joe Casey. Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 6th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baystate VNA & Hospice, 50 Maple St. Springfield MA 01102 or a charity of ones choice.
