HOLYOKE

Robert E. Rouvellat of Holyoke, Mass. was called home on April 23, 2017. He was born in Palmer, Mass. on June 16, 1926 to the late Edmund & Edith Rouvellat. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Bertha A. (Laizer) Rouvellat. He retired from Sunoco Products of Holyoke. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and loved the ocean. He is survived by one sister Evelyn (Rouvellat) Moynihan. Two sisters, Clara (Rouvellat) Rogers and Helen (Rouvellat) Mullen, pre-deceased him. He is also survived by two sons, Robert E. & Melanie Rouvellat, Jr and David W. Rouvellat and partner Christopher Quill; three grandchildren, Kate (Rouvellat) Curley, Jill (Rouvellat) Zumwalt, Christopher & Candy Rouvellat; and five great-grandchildren: Mikayla, Liam, Cali, Cassidy and Andrew.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
