Sheila J. Messier

HOLYOKE

Sheila Joan (Hamel) Messier, age 59, of Holyoke, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital.  She was born in Holyoke, daughter of Martha (Sheehan) Hamel of Lisbon Falls, ME and the late Russell Hamel. Sheila had been employed at Mansir-Holden, Dinn Brothers, Craftmount, Langeliers Bakery, Subway, KFC and Dunkin Donuts. Besides her mother she is survived by two sons, Raymond Messier and his wife Beth of Southampton and Kevin Gagne, Jr., and his wife Kristin of Palmer; her fiancé, David Patruno of Holyoke; 2 grandchildren and one sister, Kathy Harris of Reedville, ME.  She was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Hamel. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
