SOUTH HADLEY
Stanley F. Tylek, aged 66 of South Hadley, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019. He was born in post-war Nurtingen Germany to the late Walter and Zofia (Trybula) Tylek on August 24th 1952. Stanley grew up in Holyoke and graduated with an associate’s degree from Holyoke Community College. He found success as a business owner selling fragrances to which he became affectionately known as ‘The Perfume Guy’ to all of his customers. Stanley had a passion for travel, music, sports, birdwatching, and his family. He hitchhiked through 48 states, attended Woodstock, and was present at many World Series and Super Bowls amongst some of his countless adventures. His true obsession included his love for music, where he could always be found in the front row hunting for guitar pics to add to his vast collection. Stanley is survived by his children, Courtney, Cameron (Anna), Cody, Casey, and Caitlin; his sisters, Elizabeth (Vin) Barsalou, and Helen (Ed) Hurteau; his grandchildren, Colin, Brycen, Coral, and Piper; cousins Walter (Maria) Tylek, Dorothy (Tom) Daughtrey, and Barbara (Mark) Meier; his girlfriend, Elizabeth Murphy; his former wife, Melanie Beaudreau; and many nephews, and nieces. He was predeceased by his son, Casey Evan. The funeral will be held Monday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by committal at 11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 5th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers we ask that you purchase a concert ticket for yourself and enjoy the show in Stanley’s honor and memory.
