Stephen worked for many years as a certified master technician for Mercedes Benz. Known by many of his friends as “Jersey,” Stephen enjoyed golfing, ice fishing, watching sports, and being the life of the party. He also loved spending time with his dog Cooper who passed away a few years ago. Stephen is survived by his brother Leonard Sherwood III and his wife Jenny, of Maine, and his brother Julius Sherwood and his wife Gail, of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his nephews Leonard Sherwood IV, Aldous Sherwood, Hunter Sherwood and niece, Briana Coffin. Stephen also leaves his beloved 2 year old grandson, Cullen Jude Vaughan. Cully will miss spending time with “Pops.” Stephen will also be missed by his dog Brady. The family wishes to thank Stephen’s dear friend Billy Lunney, of South Hadley, for helping Annie to care for him in the weeks before his passing. Per Stephen’s request, there will be no calling hours. All services will be private. Stephen was always willing to help friends, neighbors, or even complete strangers in need; in lieu of sending flowers, please consider doing a random act of kindness in his name. Then raise a glass, or a beer and remember, Nothing is forever. Me and Cinderella, put it all together. We can drive it home with one headlight.
