HOLYOKE
Thomas Francis Bowler, Jr., 65, died peacefully after a brief illness at Baystate Medical Center. Tom was surrounded in his last moments by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Bowler (Healy), his step-daughters Tara Hurlburt, Kelly Peterson and Erin Hurlburt, his sister Gael Bowler of Indiana, his grandchildren, Alejandro, Oscar and Tallulah, his brothers-in-law David Healy (Cindy) and John Healy (Kathy). He leaves many wonderful cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mary (Bosworth) and Thomas F. Bowler Sr. and his step-son Michael D. Hurlburt. Tom lived with a passion for life. He was a graduate of Holyoke High School and went on to Mount Hermon. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Central Connecticut State University and his Master’s Degree from Westfield State. While he was passionate about many things, he was an avid historian and talented photographer. He loved all New England sports teams and shared that love with his grandson. He enjoyed coaching high school football. He deeply loved his wife Kathy and raved about her cooking. He loved all family gatherings and any excuse to bring the family together. We will forever hold Tom in our hearts as the husband, father, grandfather, brother, brothers-in-law, friend, cousin, and coach he was. The funeral will be held Thursday July 12, 2018 at 10:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke, followed by a Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:00am. Visitation for Tom will be on Wednesday July 11, 2018 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to JERICHO 537 Northampton Street | P.O.
