HOLYOKE

Thomas R. O’Sullivan, 72 of Holyoke, MA, passed away May 4, 2019   His wife Mary A. O’Sullivan remained by his side devotedly throughout his last weeks.  Born December 31st, 1946 in Holyoke to George and Jeanette (Quenville) O’Sullivan, he graduated from the Holyoke Trade School.  Thomas spent many years as a dental technician specializing in crown and bridge work. He retired from the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority in 2003.  Tommy will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his love for his family, especially his Grandchildren.  He enjoyed horse racing and was able to witness Triple Crown winner Justify in person at the Preakness last year with his dear friend William Lunney.  As a respected amateur golfer, he competed in many four ball finals; the highlight was winning the Tippy Ryan Invitational at Holyoke Country Club with his son in 2003.  Thomas is also survived by his Children Kelly Lanford and her husband Kevin of Orange Beach AL, Son Kerry O'Sullivan and his wife Mary of Holyoke Ma, five grandchildren Koren, Kayden, Kellen, Nicolas and Cole.  In addition, Tom is survived by his sister Joyce Cassidy and her husband Robert Cassidy of Holyoke and several brother and sister in laws and their families. The Family would like to thank the D’Amour Cancer Center and Baystate Hospice for their work and efforts in caring for Thomas in his battle with Adenocarcinoma.  There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
