Wayne G. Carroll, Sr., 74 of Southampton, died November 7, 2017 at home. Wayne was born in Holyoke, son of the late George and Gladys (Ingham) Carroll. He was a Sales Manager for Dave’s Truck Repair in Springfield, where he retired from. Wayne was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, and a NASCAR racing enthusiast. He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine (Theroux) Carroll, who died in 2015. Wayne is survived by his children: Wayne G. Carroll, Jr. and his wife Edie of NC, Keith W. Chirgwin and his partner Christine Gagnon of Easthampton, and Sherri Hawley and her husband Andrew of TX. Wayne also leaves five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and his siblings, John and Robert Carroll, and Lynne Centerbar, all of Chicopee, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke, followed by Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 4:00 to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl.
