William F. Ansanitis

William F. “Billy” Ansanitis, 44, of South Hadley, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, son of Linda C. (Champagne) Dondley of South Hadley and William Ansanitis of Chicopee and graduated from South Hadley High School and New England Tractor Trailer Training School. Billy was employed as a truck driver for several area companies, including Bill Willard Company of Northampton. He was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church. Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, David Ansanitis and his wife Stephanie of South Hadley; two nephews: Andrew and Ethan Ansanitis; his uncle Albert Champagne of Florence, and Billy’s longtime companion Danielle Citarella of South Hadley. He also leaves his buddies Bibs, Daisy and Mr. Benny.  He was predeceased by his stepfather, Paul Dondley, his godmother, Jean Champagne and his grandparents, Albert and Cecile Champagne and William and Helen Ansanitis.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet for Billy’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley. Burial will follow at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Aldenville.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 5th at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Billy had a great love for animals, so please consider a donation in his memory to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union Street, Springfield MA 01105.
