Aileen Agnes (Bach) Moriarty

HOLYOKE

Aileen Agnes (Bach) Moriarty, age 91, passed away Saturday August 8, 2020 at Holyoke Health Care Center. Aileen was born in Holyoke daughter of the late Louis A. and grace V. (Murray) Bach, and was educated in South Hadley Schools. She was a graduate of Providence Hospital School of Nursing and worked early in her career in the Nursery at Providence Hospital, and later, after raising children, returned to work at the Falls Nursing Home in South Hadley until her retirement. Aileen cherished time with her friends and family and was a parishioner of St. Jerome Parish. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Moriarty, in 1998. She is survived by her two daughters: Patricia M. “Trish” Lemieux and her husband Joel of Holyoke, and Ellen M. Moriarty of South Hadley; and three grandchildren: Shawna, Christopher, and Jake. She was predeceased by a brother, Clem Bach. The funeral will be held Wednesday August 12 at 10:30am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St. Patrick Chapel of St. Jerome Church at 11:00am. Burial will be held in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30am.
