Aldona M. Cebulak

HOLYOKE

 Aldona Cebulak, age 85, of Holyoke and formerly of South Hadley, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born in Juszkiewicz, Poland, and came to the United States from Germany in 1950. Aldona was a hairdresser for many years at Gino’s Salon in Holyoke and Chicopee, and was a longtime communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Parish in Holyoke. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Regina (Stankiewicz) Duczynski; two nephews: Chet and his wife Barbara of Monson, and Greg and his wife Lisa of Ledyard, CT; and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Alexandra (Nafranowicz) Duczynski; her devoted husband, Stanley Cebulak; and her brother, Albert Duczynski. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 10^th at 11 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Our Lady of The Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 to 11 am. Please note that masks are required and social distancing must be observed at the funeral home, the Church, and the cemetery due to state regulations. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, to Our Lady of The Cross Parish, or to the charity of one’s choice.
