Ameena (Hack) Balram, age 69, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024. Ameena was born on October 5 th 1955 in Rosignol, Berbice Guyana located in South America. She was daughter of the late Abdool and Subrathan Hack, and was one of seven siblings; Kanizah, Ivor, Bo, Tallack, Zabeeda & Shamo She proudly worked as a nursing assistant and loved providing health care to people in need. Ameena was an avid New England Patriots fan as well as a long-time viewer of the show General Hospital. She is survived by her husband Megnauth (Eddie) Balram; three children: Jennifer Deen and her husband Tariq of Boca Raton, Florida, Debbie Velazquez and her husband Ormandy of Hampden, MA, and Steven Balram and his wife Lindsay of Cumberland, RI; six grandchildren: Victoria, Ormandy and Antonio Velazquez (Twins), Aidan, Audriana and Arabella Deen (Twins) her grandpups Maxx and Rocky. as well as many extended family members. Visitation will be held on Friday October 25 from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, and on Saturday October 26 from 9:00am to 12:00noon followed by a Celebration of Life at St. Peters Church, 34 Jarvis Ave. Holyoke at 1:00pm.
