Amilda (Moreau) Geraghty, 82, passed in peace on March 9, 2020 at her home in South Hadley. Amilda was born on March 19, 1937 in Drummond, New Brunswick and was a proud naturalized citizen of the United States. Amilda retired from the US Postal Service in Holyoke after 22 years of service and spent many happy years enjoying time with her family at home, by the sea in Florida, and in the countryside of Ireland. She was a world traveler, avid golfer, and expert knitter. She was known for her quick wit, warm laugh, and comfort food. Amilda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, William Geraghty, her son Francis Geraghty (Cathy), grandchildren Julie-Anne Stebbins (Grant) and Christopher Geraghty (Justine), great-grandson Grayson Stebbins, brothers Euclide Moreau (Adrienne) and Jean Guy Moreau and numerous nephews and nieces, including Rachel Dionne (Todd) and Randy Moreau (Lauren). She is predeceased by her parents, Leda and Francis Moreau, and siblings Archie, Claude, Donald, Guildor, Marie, and Viola. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
