Ann L. Ittner, age 84, of Holyoke passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at home. Born and raised in Holyoke, MA she graduated from Saint Jerome High School in 1953. During her life she worked at various local businesses as a bookkeeper, eventually retiring from the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce. She and her late husband (Frank P. Ittner Jr.) both loved the beach and were avid readers who often vacationed in Kennebunkport, Maine. Shortly after her husband passed, she moved to Brewster, MA to be close to the beach, where she was an active volunteer with the Brewster Counsel on Aging and also delivered meals on wheels. Eventually, she returned to her roots in Holyoke where she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her sister. Although some of her children moved to other parts of the country Ann enjoyed traveling to visit with them. Days before she passed Ann had the opportunity to enjoy music, dancing and her favorite drink, a Southern Comfort Manhattan, sweet, straight-up at the Irish Gala in Chicopee with family. If you would like to honor Ann’s memory, please perform an act of kindness for another.
