Anne V. Crean

HOLYOKE

Anne Veronica Crean, age 97, of Providence Place in Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Mount Saint Vincent Care Center in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Michael P. and Bridget (McCarthy) Crean and was educated in the Holyoke schools. Anne attended the former Holyoke Secretarial School and worked as a secretary for 25 years for Charles A. Walsh at MJ Walsh and Sons, and after that as a secretary at Rexene Polymers (4 years) and Exxon Mobil (8 years). A lifelong resident of Holyoke, she was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Anne is survived by a sister, Geraldine F. Crean Walsh; four nieces: Lynn Fitzgerald Viles, Nancy Walsh Barry, Margaret Walsh Sullivan, and Sheila Walsh Hatzell; one nephew, Maurice J. Walsh; and 10 grand- nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Crean Fitzgerald. A Graveside Service will be held for Anne on Friday, October 11th at 1:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery, Northampton Street. There are no calling hours. The family asks to please omit flowers, and to instead send memorial contributions to Jericho, P.O. Box 1039, Holyoke, MA 01041. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
