Arlene D. Labonte

Arlene Labonte, age 83, of Holyoke, passed away on September 26, 2023 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke to the late Adrian and Paul Courchesne and attended Precious Blood Schools.  Arlene spent much of her life volunteering and helping others in need. She loved spending time with friends, family and traveling to new places. When she wasn’t volunteering, she could be found spending time with her grandchildren and watching QVC. Arlene is survived by her two daughters and their spouses: Cheryl and Richard Moynihan of Chicopee, and Lynn and John Gaudette of South Carolina. She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Brittany Makowski and her husband Michael Makowski, and her grandson, Mathew Provost, as well as her best friend, Sue Clapp. The family would like to thank everyone at Holyoke Medical Center for their caring nature towards Arlene during the last weeks of her life. A funeral service will be held for Arlene on Monday, October 2nd at 11:45 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by burial in Precious Blood Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association via www.heart.org.
