Barbara F. (Guiel) Danek

Barbara Frances (Guiel) Danek, age 92, of South Hadley, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2023. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Bernard T. Danek, and her daughters, Barbara Vachon and Helen Bernier. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Laurel Myers and husband, Thomas Myers, of TX; her son, Bernard T. Danek, Jr., and wife, Judith Corridan Danek of CT. Barbara proudly leaves a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild, all of whom she loved very dearly. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 24th at 11:00 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue, both in Holyoke. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 am.
