Barbara Ann (Trudeau) LaPointe, age 92, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2021 at home. Barbara was the wife of her beloved husband, the late Clayton C. LaPointe. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Elizabeth (Flaherty) Trudeau. Barbara was born and educated in Holyoke, she always enjoyed reading and learning, and had many interests in nature, gardening, sea shells, sewing, and quilting, Tai chi, and photography, and shared these interests with loved ones. She was a member of the Connecticut Valley Shell Club and a member of Holyoke Creative Arts Center. Barbara received an Associate’s Degree from Holyoke Community College, and worked at the Holyoke Hospital Pharmacy, then as an Accountant at the Springfield Housing Authority, where she retired from. She was always kind to family, friends, and strangers alike. Barbara is loved by many and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her sister Olivia (Trudeau) Quinn; three daughters: Lind Audet, Marinanne Desautels, and Kara Sim; four sons: Joseph LaPointe, David LaPointe, Steven LaPointe, and Clayton LaPointe; three daughters-in-law: Kathy LaPointe, Sinoun LaPointe, and Young LaPointe; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday October 29 at 10:00a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by burial in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, at 11:00am. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 8:30 to 10:00a.m.
