Beverly A. (Lucia) Bussiere-Pelkey

HOLYOKE

Beverly A. (Lucia) Bussiere-Pelkey, age 80, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was born in Milton, Vermont daughter of the late Corlis and Lillian (Sweeney) Lucia. Beverly received a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate and worked for many years as a CNA for the Visiting Nurses Association. She was a member of the Easthampton Fish & Game Club, a Cub Scout Leader, and parishioner of Our Lady of the Cross Parish, formerly Holy Cross. Beverly was predeceased by her first husband, Emile O. Bussiere, Jr. She is survived by her current husband, David Pelkey of Holyoke; two children: Bruce E. Bussiere and his wife Lyn of Agawam; Brenda Bussiere Morris and her husband Roger; a step-son Christopher Pelkey and his wife Sarah of Easthampton; step-daughter Katie Pelkey of Florence; 11 grandchildren: Heather Bussiere (Jeremiah), Zack Bussiere (Lauren), Courtney Bussiere, Brittney Bussiere (Anthony), Madison Morris, Sabastian Morris, Taylor Pelkey, David Hunter Pelkey, Jacoby Pelkey, Catherine Shaw, and Joanne Murphy; two great-grandchildren: Emiley Bussiere and Alexa Bussiere-Sykes; a sister, Sandra Hunt and her husband Charles of Belchertown; and brother-in-law Armand Laramee, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Robert “Bobby” Bussiere; a step-grandson David Pelkey, Jr.; and four siblings: Emmet Lucia, Christine Parker, Bernice Laramee, and Barbara Laramee. Funeral services for Beverly will be private. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
