Beverly A. (Allen) Doty, 86 of Holyoke, died on Friday, June 12, 2026 at her home. She was born on December 10, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Elizabeth J. (Macphail) Allen. She first worked as a telephone operator at New England Telephone and Telegraph Company. Then retired after 15 years as a paraprofessional at the Holyoke Public School System. While working as a paraprofessional, she also had a part-time job as Front Desk Operator at Holyoke Rehabilitation Center. After retirement, she worked as a switchboard operator at Holyoke Hospital and as an assistant at the Blessed Sacrament After School Program. She has volunteered at the Holyoke Public Schools and Holyoke Hospital. She taught CCD to second graders for a few years as well. She was a Eucharistic Minister for Blessed Sacrament Church, and homebound communion for the residents of Elmwood Towers. She is survived by a daughter and future son-in-law, Dawn M. Wilborn and Charles S. Worner of Chesapeake, VA, and a daughter and son-in-law, Kerry A. Houle and Christopher R. Houle of Holyoke, MA; five grandchildren, Melody, Christopher, Patrick and Matthew Houle of Holyoke, and Kaitlyn Wilborn of Chesapeake, VA.; a sister, Dorothie Thompson of Marshfield, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Paul of Springfield, VA, Eugene of Holyoke, MA, and James Allen of Springfield, MA; two sisters, Shirley Oles of Las Vegas, and Mary Jane Daniel of Augusta, GA. A wake and funeral service are being held on Thursday, June 18th, 2026, at Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, from 9 to 10:30 am, followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church,1945 Northampton Street.Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
