HOLYOKE: Brian S. Gallup, age 67, of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Saint Johnsbury, VT, a son of the late Stanley P. and Winnie (Scott) Gallup and lived most of his life in Holyoke. Brian was employed at Holyoke Medical Center for more than 40 years, where he started in shipping and receiving, and then became a buyer. He also was the Proprietor of Holyoke Memorials for the past 25 years. He was a life member of Holyoke Lodge of Elks, #902 where he was also a past exalted ruler. Over the years, he enjoyed golf, bowling, softball and rough housing with his grandkids. Brian is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol D. (Haynes) Gallup; two sons: Nicholas H. Gallup and his wife Ariane of Ludlow and Benjamin S. Gallup and his significant other, Christina of Holyoke; three grandchildren: Ava, Ethan, and Elijah Gallup; three brothers: Edward and his wife Sue of Westfield, Douglas of Westfield and Sherman of Vail, AZ; three sisters: Sharon Robertson of Holyoke, LouAnn Sullivan and her husband Bill of Westfield, and Wendy Hocog and her husband Efram of Chicopee; a brother-in-law, Tom Haynes and his wife Christine; two sisters-in-law: Linda Childs and her husband Richard and Patricia Haynes as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Brian was predeceased by a sister, Gail Zirkle. Walk through visitation will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. No other services are scheduled. Masks and social distancing are required.
