Carol A. (Clare) LaBoursoliere, age 83, of Holyoke, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, June 16, 2022. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Edward V. and Lavina (Jackson) Clare and was a 1956 graduate of the former Holy Rosary High School. Carol worked for more than thirty years as a nursing assistant at the former Geriatric Authority of Holyoke. She enjoyed spending time at the Holyoke Senior Center, and belonged to the Holyoke Golden Agers, where she helped organize many group trips through their travel club. Carol enjoyed music, especially when sharing it with her beloved grandchildren, and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. LaBoursoliere, in 1987. Carol is survived by six children: Ann Kosior, Beth Langilier, Cathy Koch, Dawn LaBoursoliere, Edward V. LaBoursoliere, and Patricia Bagg; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Carol was predeceased by two brothers, Patrick and Robert Clare. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 23rd from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Carol to the Friends of the Holyoke Council on Aging, 291 Pine Street, Holyoke MA 01040.
