Carolyn A. Rogers-Harris, age 56, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Francis E. and Carol A. (Poitras) Rogers and was a graduate of Holyoke High School and Elms College. Carolyn was employed as an Admissions Coordinator at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley. Prior to her role at Mount Holyoke, Carolyn spent 26 years working in various administrative support roles and assisting residents of the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke. Carolyn had a passion for helping people, which showed through her intelligent, strong, and caring nature. She also touched the lives of many through her love of cake decorating. Carolyn was a volunteer at Greater Springfield Senior Services, Board Member of Holyoke Media Group, Organizer of Pelikan Pen Hubs Boston and Springfield. She was a Certified Laughter Yoga Instructor, and Certified Workshop Facilitator for the Kindness Rocks Project. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Daniel J. Harris; her children: Kirsten Morrissette (Clinton, IA); Douglas Morrissette and his wife Lara (Sterling, CO); a grandson, Odin (Sterling, CO); a brother, Steven Rogers and his wife Lisa (Holyoke, MA), and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Carolyn is pre-deceased by brother Michael Rogers. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery.
