Catherine "Kitty" (Cameron) McGrath

Catherine “Kitty” (Cameron) McGrath, age 85, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, July 23, 2021. A lifelong resident of Holyoke, she was born on October 22, 1935, a daughter of the late Robert and Agnes Cameron, and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Kitty leaves two sons, Steven and his wife Maryann, and Aaron and his wife Louise. Her pride and joy was raising her seven grandchildren: Aaron Jr. (Olivia Kenyon), Steven (Angela), Jacob (Nicole, David (Lindsey), Samuel (Brittney), Catherine Vershon (Jonathan), and Lauren Forance (Reilly), and enjoying her seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Cameron, Jr. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Roddy Cameron. Kitty was very involved with and adored all her grandchildren, and was a frequent walker, talker, shopper at the Holyoke Mall with her “bestie” Joan Whalen. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Holyoke Hospital, and the entire staff at both Cooley Dickinson VNA and Hospice for their excellent care and support. All services for Kitty will be private and there are no calling hours. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
