Cathy A. “Cath” Jagodowski, age 76, passed away peacefully at home with her caring spouse by her side on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 after a long illness. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Dorothy (Nimchick) Midura and Alphonse Jagodowski. She graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School, Class of 1967, and attended Holyoke Community College and the University of MA. Cathy retired from Baystate Medical Center after 40 years of devoted service as a Medical Technologist. She was a member of the Habitat for Humanity of Western MA. Cathy enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, playing guitar, going to Tanglewood, doting on her pets, and celebrating the holidays with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Mount Desert Island, to explore the many lighthouses and the endless hiking trails along the coastline of Acadia National Park. She also enjoyed an occasional drive up Cadillac Mountain to catch a glorious sunrise or sunset. Cathy will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and wittiness, as well as being a mentor for those who knew her well. She will be missed by her loving spouse, Lin Norotuck; sister, Debbie (Steve) Dupuis; nieces, Kate and Jessica; nephews, Nick and AJ; and several cousins including Sandy of Maryland and Steven of Holyoke. Calling hours will be held for Cathy on Wednesday, January 28th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. A private burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF), 223 W.
