Celia Drobiak, age 83, passed away on April 15, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wola Mędrzechowska, Poland to the late Jan and Helena Lichwala. Celia came to the USA with her family to pursue a better life. She settled in Holyoke, MA where she married Frank Drobiak on August 25, 1962. Celia worked at Spaulding/Calloway for 35 years. She belonged to Mater Dolorosa Parish and later Our Lady of the Cross. She was a member of Unitas. Celia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and extremely proud grandmother and great grandmother. Celia was known for her warmth and for bringing people together. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and cherished family traditions. Her family is deeply grateful to the care team at Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care for their care and kindness. She leaves behind her husband, Frank Drobiak, three children, Richard P. Drobiak, Margaret Drobiak and her partner Larry Walter; Ted Drobiak and his wife Marysia; Margarets children, Carissa Nicole and her husband Jorge Garcia, their three children: Jaydin, Jeyzion and Ciara, Desiree Lee who is expecting; and Aaliyah Janay and her son Zion, Ted and wife Marysia Drobiak, and their two sons: Race Michael and Matthew Czeslaw; three sisters: Mary Mysliwiec and husband Lewis, Jane Glinski, and Stephanie Lichwala, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

The funeral procession will be held on Tuesday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105-3678
