Christine A. Daisy Obituary

Christine A. (Veroneau) Daisy, 79, of Holyoke, passed away on January 29, 2026. She was born in Holyoke on August 28, 1946 to Al and Emily (Schab) Veroneau, and was raised in Granby. While living in Granby she met her “heart sister,” Diana, with whom she shared a wonderful bond. She attended Holy Rosary Grammar School and High School, where she played the drums in the Rosary Fife and Drum Core Band. After graduating from Holyoke Catholic High School in 1964, she married her high school sweetheart, William J. “Billy” Daisy in 1965. Chris and Billy shared 57 great years together until his death in 2023. As Chris said, she was “always a day ahead and a dollar short.” She was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses over the years: Daisy Maids, We Willies Hotdog Wagon, and Valley Craft Supply (with Eileen Wilson). She ended her career working for Holy Cross Church for almost ten years.

Chris said, “The two most important people in my life were my sons Daniel and Thomas. They were always there for me and there was nothing they wouldn't do for me. My love for you will never die.” She was also blessed with five remarkable grandchildren: Ayla and her husband Michael, Cheyenne and her husband Jay, Rami and his wife Mandi, Leah, and Thomas Jr. (“The Marine”), and four beloved great-grandchildren: Carolina, Elizabeth, Sonny and William. Chris wanted it to be known that, “Leah Daisy was my caretaker and took care of me every day without a complaint. We shared lots of conversations, tears, joys and love. I was so proud of all of you!”

Chris also leaves a wonderful sister-in-law, Louise Provost; three nephews: Raymond, Michael and David; a very special cousin, Debbie, who was more like a sister; and her beloved godsons, Barry, KC, David, Josh and Justin. She will be missed by her forever friends, Linda and Lou, and all the “River Rat” friends at Mitch's Marina; the “Date Night Girls,” Marlene, Sharon, Mary Ann, and Joni, and so many more great friends, including the Broussard family.

Finally, at the time of her passing, Chris wished to say, “It's with lots of love in my heart that I leave you. I hope you come visit me sometime here to say hello.”
