Claire A. (Gauthier) Fournier

Claire A. (Gauthier) Fournier, age 92, of The Arbors in Chicopee, formerly of Holyoke, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Georgianna Gauthier and was a graduate of Chicopee High School.  Claire was a self-employed hair dresser for many years and a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at Blessed Sacrament Church and the Holyoke Soldier’s Home. Claire leaves her nieces, Joan McDermott of Holyoke, Phyllis Kidd of West Haven, CT; a nephew, Lester Fournier of AZ; and a godchild, Steven Hale of Ludlow.   She was the widow of Roger W. Fournier.  Claire’s family would like to thank the staff at The Arbors in Chicopee for the wonderful care given to her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street, Holyoke followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
