The family of Clark E. Lambert “Butchie” of Hampton Ponds, Westfield Mass is deeply saddened to announce his peaceful passing on June 6, 2025. His family was with him as he left this world for the next. Clark was born in Holyoke on September 28th 1946, son of the late Edward C Lambert and Lillian E.Tierney Lambert..He was predeceased by his two younger brothers Gary M. Lambert and Robert F Lambert and his great-niece, Corra Graveline. Clark is survived by his sisters Eleanor C Labombard of Russell and Susan L Lambert of Granby. He had great love for his nieces and nephews and their children and left to remember him in sadness are Donald Lorusso, Laura Sikes, Cindy Labombard, Lynn Czaporowski, Lauren Pekala, JC Czaporowski, Sari Czaporowski, Jeffrey Lambert, Michael Lambert, and Brittany Lambert.Just as special to him were their children. Thank you to his wonderful neighbors especially “Doc” John Cowley, Katia Ball, and Johnny Stark who were helpful in every way possible. He also loved many long- time friends Eddie Nelson, Bruce Martin, Shaun Fitzpatrick and Ronnie Ryan. Clark graduated from Holyoke High School and the CT School of Broadcasting. Clark worked for the Holyoke Parks and Rec Dept. as a foreman for many years and was known for his outstanding ballfields. People would tell him over the years those baseball fields were always meticulous when he was in charge. Nice and Smooth. No rocks and pebbles when sliding into home! He was Union president of the Parks Department Guild where he negotiated contracts for the Parks employees. Clark umpired many years for high school and college baseball in the WMASS area and also traveled to Florida for Big League open training. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army and was for many years a member of American Legion Post 325. Clark loved living at Hampton Ponds, enjoying boating, Summertime Beach parties, 4th of July celebrations, and winter skating. He was everybody's friend, loved people and he touched the lives of those who knew him. After his retirement there were many trips with friends to Normandy, France for the D-Day ceremonies. We have no doubt that his passing on the D-Day anniversary would be an honor for him. He traveled through Europe and had friends in England. Clark was an eccentric, lovable man who opened up his home over the years (Home for Wayward Men as he called it) for those in need. Clark was known for his wild antics with his cousins the Lamberts, Pezzinis, Tierney reunions and friends, and always enjoyed telling and hearing a good story. He led such a storied life. We will miss him telling them. We invite his family and friends to join us for some good stories about Clark. Committal prayers and military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
