Curtis was born in Holyoke, January 31, 1967, son of Dale Cox and Joyce (Tauper) Skarzynski and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1985. Curtis is survived by his fiancé and soulmate, Patricia Sexton; his children: Curtis Cox, Jr. of Westfield, Brittany Hayes (James) of Worthington, Steven Sexton of Holyoke, Brenden Sexton of Holyoke, Tyler Sexton (Dallas) of Chicopee, Shane Sexton (Aniela) of Chicopee, and Collin Sexton (Jess) of Chicopee; 11 grandchildren: Annalise, Jayden, Aurora, Dillan, Carter, Calvin, Aubrey, Emma, Owen, Kaden, and Karson; his siblings: Thomas Cox, Jeannine Szumski, Laura Hilario, and William Skarzynski; along with many nieces and nephews.
Curtis lived for adventures on his Harley with the love of his life and working on anything with his kids. Not only was Curtis a master carpenter, he was truly a jack of all trades, he could fix anything. He loved his grandchildren fiercely and never missed a soccer game or a family trip. He especially enjoyed his last vacation to Wildwood and playing on the beach with Aubrey. On weekends, you could find Curtis with family enjoying a NASCAR race or an NFL game. He will be missed deeply by many.
The family would like to thank the staff of Holyoke Medical Center for the wonderful care and compassion they gave Curtis and his family.
