David Allen

SPRINGFIELD:  David Allen, 54, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.  He was born on December 28, 1965 in Boston to the late Edward and Maryjo (Norton) Allen and later moved to Springfield where he attended area schools.  David went on to be a gifted carpenter and worked in both, commercial and residential industry for many years. He will be missed by his loving family and his beloved dog, Molly.  David is survived by his brothers, John, Richard, Barry, Robert (Brenda) and Mark Allen; his nieces and nephews, John, Nicole, Stephanie, James, Claire, Kaylee and Joclyn.  Besides his parents, David was predeceased by a nephew, Douglas in 2010. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 3:45 pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke. Burial will be at a later date.  Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 2:00 to 3:45 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of David to Friends of the Homeless, 755 Worthington Street, Springfield, MA 01105.
