David Ellis Obituary

HOLYOKE: David S. Ellis passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at his home. He was the son of the late William (Red) and Ann (Tomlinson) Ellis. Dave was born June 30, 1967 in Holyoke and was educated in the Holyoke school system. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dave most recently lived in Malden and loved the greater Boston area, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Dave spent his professional career predominately working for non-profit organizations. He loved music and attending concerts, was an avid reader and the family historian. He leaves behind his brothers James and wife Risa of Sutton, MA and Douglas and wife Tanya of Chicopee, MA. Dave is Uncle to his 6 nieces and nephews - Matthew and wife Victoria, Alyssa and husband Zack, Kara and fiancé Stephen, Conor, Jason and Owen. He is also great uncle to Wyatt and Riley. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends. His family will be having a Celebration of Life Luncheon on Tuesday, February 26 at 1:00 at The Delaney House in Holyoke, MA. All who knew Dave are welcome and encouraged to attend. A private burial will be held at the convenience of Dave’s family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Shriners Hospital, Springfield, MA.
