David J. Herbert, 74, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those he loved on June 8, 2025.  He was the son of John & Adele Baginski Herbert.  He owned and operated Tri State Well Drilling for over 40 years and gave the gift of water to thousands of families in the Western Massachusetts area.  He is survived by his two children, Jonathan, of Easthampton and Suzanne (Jason) Platanitis of Holyoke; his beloved grandson Theo; his sister, Patricia of Valrico, FL, and her three children; his partner, Marie Hogan of Holyoke and friends all over the world who he touched with his gentle soul.  If you’re lucky enough to own one of his paintings, treasure it!   To celebrate his wonderful life, take yourself on a vacation, go fly-fishing, or surfcasting, and take yourself to see some live music.  All services are private.
