David passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, friends and his beloved dogs, after a brief illness. Born in Greensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Harold and Bernice (Wlosko) Pine of Holyoke. A graduate of Holyoke High School, class of 1980, David was an extraordinary musician, songwriter and recording engineer. For many decades, he owned and operated his successful recording studio, Pinetrax, where he had the privilege of working with countless talented musicians over his career. A devoted animal lover, David rescued and cared for many creatures, from wildlife to cherished pets. He leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Cynthia (Yiddi) Lewis-Pine. David was predeceased by his sister Linda and is survived by his brothers Richard and Frank, his sister Laura, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services and a celebration of David’s life will be held at Barry J. Funeral Home in Holyoke on Wednesday, August 13, at 4:00 p.m., followed by a gathering of friends at Stoney’s Pub in South Hadley.
