David E. Shevlin

HOLYOKE

David E. Shevlin, age 61, of Holyoke, died April 21, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. David was born in Springfield, son of the late Edward and Grace (Kane) Shevlin, and was a 1978 graduate of Holyoke High School. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years for Curran Construction Co. and the Holyoke Gas & Electric. David is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Gretchen Griess; two brothers, Steven Shevlin of Holyoke and Joseph Shevlin and his wife Sheila of Holyoke; a sister, Laura Progulske and her husband Rick of West Springfield. David also leaves behind his beloved dogs Stuart and Rambo, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Susan Slawski.
