Deborah M. "Debbie" (Johnson) Ilnicki

Deborah M. "Debbie" Ilnicki passed away on Tuesday September 14, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Lancaster PA, Deborah grew up in South Hadley, MA where she attended S. Hadley High School. Deborah worked in the registrars office at American International College before moving on to the Springfield District Court where she retired in 2018. A strong advocate for women’s rights, Deborah enjoyed gardening and creating beautiful prize-winning quilts for her family and loved ones.

She is predeceased by her parents Richard and Miriam Johnson and her husband Frank W. Ilnicki. Deborah leaves her daughter Rachel Ilnicki-Plotnikiewicz and her husband Darius of Chicopee, a brother Irving Johnson of Ludlow and her devoted partner Herman Alicea of Chicopee. Services will be held at 10AM on Saturday Sept. 25, 2021 at Faith United Methodist Church 191 Montcalm St. Chicopee. Burial immediately to follow at Evergreen Cemetery Hadley St., South Hadley, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Shriners Children Hospital for Children. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
