He was born on January 9, 1933 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, to the late Henry C. and Lonnie Lucille (Roberts) Dover. Denver leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Geraldine Mary (Kreuter) Dover. He left Georgia at a young age and was raised and educated in Greenville, South Carolina. Dee or D.A. as he was commonly known, joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951and was trained as an Intelligence/Communications Specialist. He served for the next 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired in 1971 as a Staff Sergeant. He had a very genuine love of music and was never happier than listening to songs from his vast collection. He also enjoyed taking his children and later grandchildren on road trips down south to ensure they were familiar with their roots from that side of the family. Denver further loved going to the beach especially Misquamicut and Myrtle Beach where family reunions took place over the years. He leaves his son, David A.
