Donald F. "Donnie" Collamore

HOLYOKE

Donald F. “Donnie” Collamore, age 58, of Holyoke, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 5, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Holyoke, educated in Holyoke Schools and was a 1981 graduate of Dean Technical High School.  Donnie was a CDL registered truck driver and worked for many years for Webster Trucking.  Prior to that he spent many years working as a printer. He enjoyed all competitive sports, especially skiing, tennis and golf.  Donnie was a car enthusiast and especially loved his Camaro SS. Donnie was a longtime communicant of Holy Cross Parish and a member of the Saint Patrick’s Committee of Holyoke, Inc.  He is survived by three sons; Scott E. (Abby) of Springfield, Shawn A. (Kari) of Holyoke, Stephen W. (Sheana) of Holyoke; a daughter, Karissa Dobbins of Chicopee and many grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly.  He also leaves his father, William R. Collamore; his mother, Patricia A. (Reed) Irwin and her husband William; his former wife and best friend, Kimberly J. (Amador) Collamore; a brother, Kenneth A. Collamore and his wife Christine of Bennington, VT; two sisters, Venetta Hungerford and her husband Michael and Deanna “Dee” O’Neill of Holyoke, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Mason. He was predeceased by his brother in law, John J. O’Neill on September 19, 2020.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue followed by burial in Forestdale West Cemetery, Rock Valley Road, both in Holyoke. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Donnie to the Holyoke Boys and Girls Club, P.O. Box 6256, Holyoke, MA 01041.
