Donald D. Deshais, age 72, of Holyoke, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born in Springfield, a son of the late Leo J. and Margaret A. (MacLeod) Deshais and was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. He served in the United States Navy Reserve “Seabee’s” and worked for many years as a motor coach operator touring Canada as well as the eastern coast of our nation. He has lived in Holyoke for many years, and worshipped at Calvary Baptist Church in Easthampton. Besides his wife Jane E. (Plante) Deshais, he is survived by a son David A. Deshais and his wife Caitlyn; a daughter Kristen Durocher and husband Scott; four grandchildren: Catherine, Andrew, Noah and Mia. He also leaves two brothers: Leo J. Deshais Jr. and his wife Marylou and Mark Deshais and his wife Marilu. Don was pre-deceased by his sister Mary Marsha Deshais (the Babe). Don also leaves his nieces, Wendy, Heather, Kim and Kelly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a ”Celebration of Life” starting at 10:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 413 Main Street, Easthampton MA 01027. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home in Holyoke is handling arrangements.
