Donald O. Lavallee

Donald O. Lavallee, age 92, of Holyoke, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Care One at Redstone in East Longmeadow. Don was born in Holyoke, son of the late Homer and Beatrice (Desnoyers) Lavallee and was educated in the Holyoke School System. He served in the United States Army during World War II and later worked for Hampden Paper Company in Holyoke for 33 years, retiring in 1990. Don was a life member of Graphic Communications International Union. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Savard) Lavallee, who died on January 16, 2020. Don is survived by 3 children, Beatrice Trombley and her husband Michael of East Longmeadow and their children, Savannah and Michael Jr.; Donna and her husband Robert Perkins of East Longmeadow and their children, Robert and Christina; and Donald and his wife Nancy Lavallee of Chicopee, their children, Kimberly and her husband Johnny Bruno, Madeline, and Donald Joseph. The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Immaculate Conception Church, both in Holyoke. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Agawam at 1 pm. Calling hours will be held prior to funeral from 9:30 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
