Donald Parent, 83, of Webster, MA (former longtime resident of Chicopee, MA) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on July 8^th.

Donald served in the US Army and worked as a Quality Control Analyst at ESCO Hand Tools in Springfield.  His passion for golfing, fishing, playing cards, collecting coins and supporting all the New England sports teams was only surpassed by visits from his two great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann in 2017.  Donald is survived by his children Richard Parent (Lana) of Webster, Ma; Pauline Brookover (Phil) of Apex, NC; and Patty Camacho (Tomas) of Garner, NC.  He leaves behind his beautiful granddaughters, Stephanie Horrell (Chris) of Wilton, NH; Nicole Parent (fiancé Eric Zale) of Milford, NH; Amanda Parent of Hudson, NH, Gabriella Camacho (fiancé Tony Bonano) of Raleigh, NC; Victoria Camacho of Clayton, NC; and Alejandra Camacho of Greenville, NC.  His brothers;  George Parent (Joan) of South Hadley, MA and Fran Parent (Barbara) of Chicopee, MA;  sister Simone Parent of Chicopee, MA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday July 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke MA.  A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00am to 11:00am. A luncheon reception will immediately follow the service at the Southampton Country Club, 329 College Highway Southampton, MA.. A private burial will take place in NH at a later date at which time the family will lay to rest the ashes of both Donald and Mary Ann.
