HOLYOKE
Dorothy Marie (Kane) Hebert, age 92, a lifelong resident of Holyoke, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday July 28, 2018. Dorothy was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Patrick and Mabel (Blanchard) Kane, and was educated in Holyoke Schools. She did clerical work for many years at Holyoke Pediatric Associates, retiring in 1990. Dorothy was a communicant of St. Jerome Parish, and enjoyed volunteer work at Blessed Sacrament School and Perpetual Help School. Dorothy had a strong love for her family and always put them first. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Leo A. Hebert, in 2011. She is survived by two sons: Leo A Hebert, Jr. of Holyoke, and Joseph W. Hebert and his wife Andrea of Westborough, MA; two daughters: Carole A. Hebert of Holyoke, and Christine M. Bradley of Holyoke; five grandchildren: Shawn Bradley, Corey Bradley and his fiancé Laura Mirkin, Erica Bradley and her fiancé Edwin Ramos, Natalie Hebert, and Lana Hebert; two great-grandchildren: Liam Curtis-Bradley and Isiah Frazer; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by two infant children, Stephen and Mary; her brother Francis Kane and his wife Delphine; and her sister Rita Edwards and her husband Bill; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The funeral for Dorothy will be held Wednesday at 9:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Chapel of St. Jerome Church at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery.
