Dorothy Ann Pinette, 85 of Holyoke Towers in Holyoke, peacefully passed away in her sleep on May 5, 2026 after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Harry and Stephania (Pokryzwa) Dennis of the Willimansett section of Chicopee. Dorothy spent her youth in the Y section of town learning from her big sister Shirley and playing with her twin sister Janey and neighborhood friends. She moved to Holyoke and married her husband Carroll in 1965 and eventually welcomed their son Carroll (Carl) Jr. in 1966. She worked at Totsy's Toy Mfg., Hart Wool Combing, the VNA as a homemaker and volunteered for many years at Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed long walks, eating out with her sisters and family, playing bingo, and cross word search games in addition to spending time with her son Carl and daughter- in- law Marsha at their home in Feeding Hills. She was predeceased by both parents, her husband in 2014 and numerous brother and sister in laws. Mom will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son Carl and his wife Marsha of Tennessee, sisters Shirley Basile and Janey Pease of Chicopee, nephews David Richardson and Bobby Pease, niece Carol Iwanski and many other extended family members. A service will be held on Friday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Holyoke. A calling hour will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. John 15-20 KJV, Jesus said, "Because I live, ye shall live also".
