Dorothy L. Saalfrank of Westfield died peacefully on May 2, 2026. Dottie was born in Holyoke on Oct 27, 1938, the daughter of the late Arthur and Linda (Preissler) Saalfrank. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School and Williamstown School of Banking. She was a banker for 45 years, working at Bank of Boston and Peoples Savings Bank. She loved working around her house and traveling. She was predeceased by her sister Carol Saalfrank of Holyoke and her brother Harold Saalfrank of Westfield. She is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothea Saalfrank, niece Joanne Saalfrank (Jacie Edwards) of Salisbury, NC, nephews James (Chantal Ayotte) of Westfield, Joey (Jennifer Linnell) of Huntington, and Jeffrey Saalfrank. Her grand nieces, Audrey and Ashley Saalfrank of Huntington and grandnephew, Alex Saalfrank of Westfield and many other cousins and friends. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00am followed by burial in Forestdale Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Shriners Children’s of New England or St Jude Children’s Hospital.
