Edward G. Antil, age 87, of Holyoke, passed away at his home on Monday, June 15, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Hervey and Florida (Cadieux) Antil, and was educated in the Holyoke schools. Ed was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Oxford Precision Inc. in Agawam for over 35 years, then retired after working in Central Supply for the Holyoke School Department. He was a life member of Holyoke Lodge of Elks #902, a former communicant of Holy Family Parish, and a current communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Ed loved gardening around his house and all sports, with the Boston Bruins being his favorite. He also enjoyed fishing with his sons. Edward is survived by his wife Mary (Kaplan) Antil, whom he married at Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke; they were blessed with over 58 years of happiness together. He also leaves his three loving sons: Edward M. Antil of Holyoke, James Antil and his wife Kathleen of Holyoke, and Scott Antil and his wife Bozena of Holyoke; and his four cherished grandchildren whom he adored: J.T., Matt, Samantha, and Vanessa. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 19th at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
