Edward F. Dupont Obituary

Edward F. Dupont, 83, of Enfield CT, formerly of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. He was born in Holyoke, a son of the late Arthur G. and Leona M. (Bergeron) Dupont and graduated from the former Holy Rosary High School. Ed served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964, attaining the rank of Corporal. He was a retired longtime Supervisor at Acme Chain/US Tsubaki Corporation in Holyoke, and moved to CT several years ago.


He was predeceased by his wife, Simone (Marcoux) Dupont and infant son Mark in 1972. Edward is survived by a daughter, Michelle Biela of Enfield, a son Michael Dupont of Colorado Springs, CO, and 7 grandchildren, Stephanie Biela, Joseph Biela Jr, Alli Cooper, Christopher Biela, Nicholas Biela, Kaitlyn Dupont and Jacob Dupont.


The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30.
